20/7/42 . Ops. called but scrubbed 16.05 hrs. P/O Withy's and W/O Williamson's funeral at Newton Church. Funeral arranged perfectly Stn. Adjutant, Linton. Pall bearers from 158 Sqdn. Sgt North, Sgt Laws, Sgt Oliver, Sgt Pridden, S/Ldr Wilkerson, F/Lt Somerville, P/O Brown and F/O Watson attended. Full service honours were awarded. Party at Aldwark Manor. Nearly everyone in Squadron attended.
1 hour 15 min. local flying. 16 Group searched for Sgt Dillon. No luck. Weather:- 10/10ths all day at 2000 ft. Vis.:- u/s at night.
