I am delighted to find a reference to my late grandfather Captain Eric Starling. I actually have in front of me a copy of the photograph used in you book which my grandfather wrote on the back,'Eric Starling at the controls of "The Norseman" flying between Newcastle and Stavanger Sept 1938.'
His autobiography is titled 'The Flight of the Starling.'
I have enjoyed your website and now think that I would love to make the same sort of tribute that you have to a lost generation of great men!
